Power washing is a great way to brighten up your home. We offer power washing on most surfaces: the outside of your house, sidewalks, patios, and decks. We use a 1800 PSI washer to perform a broad range of tasks by varying the range. Power washing removes the silt, dust, spider webs, and plant debris that builds up over time. On sidewalks and tile patios it removes the moss and dirt revealing the original cement below. Please contact us if you have questions not answered below, or if you'd like to schedule a free estimate.
Q. Does power washing remove paint?
A. If desired, it can. However, on the exterior of your house we operate our power washer from a safe distance - thus as long as the paint is not already falling off, it will only be cleaned and not be harmed. You may want paint removed from cement steps, sidewalks, or bricks in preparation to repaint. In this case, we operate our power washer from a much closer range and the majority of the paint is removed.
Q. Do we power wash the windows when we power wash the house.
A. We usually give the windows a lighter spraying, this removes the dust and spider webs but minimizes the chance of water leaking into the house. We also position towels on the window sills inside or outside for windows that may be old or leaky. The power washing does remove some of the dirt, but does not serve to 'wash' the windows. The best solution is the combination of power washing followed by window washing.
Q. What PSI is your power washer?
A. We use an 1800 PSI electric power washer. In terms of power, it is a middle grade for power washers. We have found that the gas powered 2400 PSI and up versions are a little too powerful for power washing the exterior of house which is our primary demand for power washing. The 1800 also does well with cement and jobs needing more intense spray.
